Mercury Minimization Program

The City of Waupaca Wastewater Treatment Plant maintains a Mercury Minimization Program as required by EPA and DNR.  The goal is to prevent mercury exposure to both the environment and you.  Did you know that many household products contain mercury?  The most common are compact fluorescent lights, thermostats, electronics, and batteries.  These products should be recycled and are accepted for a fee at the Waupaca County PTF.  Call 715-258-6249 for accepts and rates of products that contain mercury.  For a full list of consumer products and more information go to:
