Crews continued installing new sanitary sewer south of Union St and continued moving south on High St. The crew was slowed down by some rainy weather early in the week and was not able to complete all the sanitary work. Next Monday (6/13) the crew should be able to complete this work and switch over to new water main installation by Tuesday (6/14). New water main installation should take another couple of weeks.
No service disruptions are anticipated during the new water main installation. That’s because the new water main will be installed next to the old water main. There will be a service disruption in the future when the new water and sewer laterals are installed. The contractor will provide notice before this occurs. As a reminder, water lateral replacement is planned from the main into each home and the sewer laterals will be replaced from the sewer main to the property lines.
