High & Harrison Project|

Underground utility work is nearly complete on High Street. There will be one more service shutoff to make a final connection near Hillcrest Drive. Those who will be without water will be notified by the water utility.   Storm sewer work is nearly complete on High Street. The intersection of High St and Union St is nearly complete and there is one more major run of piping to be installed south of Union St.  The remaining work is planned to be completed early next week.   The grading crew is scheduled to be onsite on Monday (8/1). This crew will removed existing curb, sidewalk, and dirt roadway. As this work progresses, new gravel will be trucked in, placed, shaped, and compacted.   Harrison Street from Fulton Street to Hillcrest Drive is still planned to start on August 3rd. The detour will be set up that morning. The route will utilize Hillcrest Drive from Fulton near Hardee’s to Harrison St at the Granite and Harrison intersection. A map of the detour is shown below and will be posted on the city website. Please go to:  https://www.cityofwaupaca.org/category/highharrison/   Work on Harrison Street will start with replacing the old water laterals. The construction zone is closed for all traffic with the exception of the residents who live in the construction zone.   Please feel free to contact me with any questions or request for additional information at: (715) 258-4420 or jberrens@cityofwaupaca.org
