Waupaca Radio allows community access to the radio station in the following ways and is glad to be a resource to help out different groups in the Waupaca area.

These opportunities are available to community groups, non-profit organizations, schools and government units.  There is no cost for utilizing these services and we encourage you to use them as often as needed.

Community Calendar

Have an upcoming event?  No matter how big or how small let Waupaca Radio and Win-TV help get the word out.  Submit your details here, mail a flyer to Waupaca Radio, 111 S. Main Street, Waupaca, WI 54981, email the details to radio(at)cityofwaupaca(dot)org or drop off a flyer at the Waupaca City Hall front desk.  Please submit your details 3-4 weeks before your event or registration deadline for the best exposure.  Every hour Waupaca Radio and Win-TV will broadcast an even rotation of events in our area.

News/Press Releases

Waupaca Radio fm96.3 broadcasts local news every weekday.  If you have a press release or newsworthy item, email it to news(at)cityofwaupaca(dot)org.  Better yet, add us to any press release distribution lists you have!

Cancellations and Emergency Information

Do you have a cancellation you would like announced?  Have some emergency related information you need announced to the public?  We can do this on Waupaca Radio.  Email us the details to news(at)cityofwaupaca(dot)org or call and leave a voicemail at 715.258.4405 option 1.

Public Service Announcements

Waupaca Radio produces public service announcements to bring extra attention to a topic, organization or event.  A public service announcement is typically 30 – 90 seconds and is set apart from other messages.  You may use a public service announcement to provide details about an upcoming notable event; we will help each community group/non-profit organization produce one generic public service announcement that is an overview of your group; and public service announcements may be created to provide community education about a particular topic.  Contact Waupaca Radio to setup a time to produce a public service announcement.  Public Service announcements are broadcast in an even rotation on an hourly basis.

The Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association has published a guide to help non-profit groups create a PSA.

What’s Happening Waupaca – Community Conversations

Waupaca Radio is opening our airwaves to community groups and non-profit organizations, schools and government units to come on the air with us for short interviews highlighting what your group is up to, discuss an upcoming event or other information you want to get out.  Waupaca Radio staff will lead this interview in a relaxed format.  These community conversations allow you the time to get more information out that a community calendar announcement or public service announcement would.

This option is on hiatus due to COVID.

Supporting Local Music

Are you a musician or band based in Wisconsin? If so, we’d love to get your music on the air!  Every weeknight Waupaca Radio fm96.3 features a two hour block of all Wisconsin music.  Email mp3’s of your songs to radio(at)cityofwaupaca(dot)org or mail your CD to Waupaca Radio, 111 S. Main Street, Waupaca, WI 54981.  Please include a short note indicating if any songs are not suited for radio airplay (eg. profanity in the lyrics, overall theme of the song not of good community standard, or other reasons).

Waupaca Community Media also works with the Waupaca Community Arts Board to broadcast a monthly Wisconsin music program – Waupaca Local Live.  Each month a different Wisconsin band is featured in this program mixing your original music with an interview.  Does this interest you?  Contact us radio(at)cityofwaupaca(dot)org and we’ll start the discussion to get your band on this program.
