Waupaca’s East Gateway

Waupaca’s East Gateway Vision

The East Gateway is a well designed, unique, and attractive neighborhood containing a contemporary mix of commercial, retail, manufacturing, institutional, professional office, and residential development. It provides a regional economic foundation for sustainable jobs with competitive wages and integrates natural resources into the daily experiences of those living, working, and visiting there.

Business and Technology ParkThe ‘East Gateway’ is Waupaca’s planned growth location for new industrial, commercial and residential development. All of the property in the East Gateway is within a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District, whereby the City may enter into agreements to provide development incentives for projects that add new tax base and/or create new jobs in the community. Dependable utilities with adequate capacities are readily available to much of the area.

The East Gateway provides an efficient connection to US Highway 10 via the new State Highway 22/54 Bypass. The north portion of the East Gateway includes the City’s Business & Technology Park which is home to the Fox Valley Technical College Waupaca Regional Center, an exceptional educational institution which was constructed with substantial renewable energy and “green” building design features, corporate headquarters of ABC Computers which provides technology solutions for businesses, and Spirit Implements, LLC which specializes in custom steel fabrication, among others. The south portion of the East Gateway is situated along US Highway 10, providing a prime location for commercial retail development. The southern portion is also home to the Waupaca Municipal Airport. The central area of the East Gateway is positioned along the beautiful Waupaca River and contains a newly-developed 63-lot residential subdivision. We are excited about the continued future of Waupaca’s East Gateway.
