Beach at South Park

The beach at South Park is “closed” for the 2019 season as of 6 pm, August 27, 2019.

This means there are no lifeguards on duty, no docks in the water and the beach house is closed. You may swim at your own risk.

The parks are open from 7 am to 10 pm daily from May through September.

Thank you!

Senior Center Accreditation

The City of Waupaca Senior Center Coordinator Sara Reybrock and our supportive Senior Center Advisory Board Members at our accreditation ceremony in Sturgeon Bay.

The accreditation process reviews 9 areas of management to ensure the program is operating at the highest of standards. This assessment is completed by a board of Senior Center Professionals involved with the Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers.

Congratulations to Sara and her staff for obtaining accreditation through 2021!

Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan

City of Waupaca Parks and Recreation Staff would like to thank the community of Waupaca for assisting us through our 5 Year Strategic Plan. Staff has received great input on opportunities with programming, partnerships, stewardship and much more. This plan outlines what our participants from 24 community groups would most like to see preserved, changed and created within our department and community. We encourage all community members to look through the plan and contact us with any questions you may have.

The Parks and Recreation Department could not have completed this process without UW – Extension Staff’s assistance, specifically Connie Abert and Mike Koles. Thank you for your continued work to help better the community! We would also like to thank all Park and Recreation Board members as well as City Council for your time and support throughout the process. Thank you Waupaca!!!
