Pam Flowers and her team ran the Iditarod, mushed to the Magnetic North Pole, and made a 2,500-mile trans-arctic expedition. This presentation chronicles the perils and joys of this astounding expedition, from intense blizzards and shifting polar ice to a frightening polar bear encounter. This is the amazing story of eight sled dogs and one woman who set out alone from Barrow, Alaska to mush 2,500 miles along the Arctic coast of North America. Her account of that journey is chronicled in Alone Across the Artic: One Woman’s Epic Journey by Dog Sled.
